How we actually think about a pool

Most of what makes water "good" isn't visible, and most of what makes it "bad" was preventable weeks earlier. A big part of our approach is getting ahead of problems chemically, rather than reacting to them once they're already staring back at you from the shallow end.

We use enzymes to take a real load off your chlorine. Every swimmer leaves behind body oils, lotion, and sunscreen. That's organic material, but it isn't alive, and chlorine treats it as a chore rather than its actual job. Left alone, chlorine ends up spending its strength oxidizing that debris instead of sanitizing, which is the one thing only chlorine can do: killing bacteria and algae. Enzymes break that organic material down directly and efficiently, so the chlorine in your pool stays available for the job that actually matters.

We use phosphate remover to starve algae before it starts. Phosphates are algae's food source, and they get into a pool constantly: rain, fertilizer runoff, tap water, even sunscreen. Most services only react once algae has already taken hold. We'd rather remove what it feeds on in the first place, so there's less for chlorine and brushing to fight later.

This is the same underlying philosophy behind everything else we do: target chemistry, guided by the Langelier Saturation Index, rather than just confirming a handful of numbers sit inside an acceptable range.
